Trustmark Hires Rachel Hamann as Regional Sales Representative, Gulf Coast Region

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Trustmark, a long-standing voluntary benefits carrier, has hired Rachel Hamann as Regional Sales Representative, Gulf Coast Region. The announcement was made by Shaun Urista, Regional Sales Manager, South Central and Gulf Coast Regions.

“We’re excited to have Rachel on the team,” said Urista. “I’m looking forward to working with Rachel, brokers and enrollment firms to develop strategies and solutions for worksite enrollments in her territory.” Hamann was hired to develop and implement custom-based insurance solutions for Trustmark’s existing broker relationships in the Louisiana and Houston markets, as well as expand Trustmark’s sales footprint throughout the territory. Her office is in New Orleans, La.

Hamann has nearly 15 years in the insurance industry, most recently serving as Senior Sales Representative at Assurant Employee Benefits. She provided employee benefit solutions and group ancillary benefits including group disability, life, dental, vision and supplemental voluntary benefits, to brokers throughout the state of Louisiana.

Rachel also has experience as an underwriter and employee benefits consultant. “I joined the insurance industry right out of college, with very little knowledge of the business,” Hamann said. “Through the last 15 years, with the guidance of my mentors, I’ve learned so much, helped so many great people and really believe in what I do. I enjoy people, problem solving and being a trusted advisor. I am excited about my new position and I know Trustmark is a great fit for me, because that is their goal--finding the right solutions and focusing on the customers’ needs.” Interested brokers and enrollment firms can reach Hamann at 504.458.2486 or
