Trustmark Voluntary Benefit Solutions' Dan Johnson Inducted Into Workplace Benefits Association Hall of Fame

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Dan Johnson, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Trustmark Voluntary Benefit Solutions, is being inducted into the Workplace Benefits Association Hall of Fame.

Inductees are chosen by their peers based on the individual’s career achievements and contributions to the voluntary benefit industry. According to EastBridge Consulting Group, Inc. Annual U.S. Voluntary/Worksite Sales Report, voluntary and worksite benefits’ sales topped $6 billion in 2012, an increase of 6.6 percent over 2011 results.

“Daniel Johnson represents the ultimate workplace benefits professional,” said Walt Podgurski, Publisher, Workplace Benefits Association. “He has demonstrated competence and integrity over the span of many years, which has included giving back a great deal to the industry.”

Johnson has provided sales and marketing solutions in the insurance industry for more than 30 years, and at Trustmark itself for nearly 20 years. Active among various industry groups, Johnson has spoken at such events as the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), Voluntary Employee Benefit Board and the Million Dollar Round Table.

“It’s humbling to be named among this elite group of leaders in the voluntary benefits industry,” said Johnson. “For me, this honor is a true reflection of the home office teams and broker business partners I’ve worked with over the years. Without them, I couldn’t have earned such recognition from the Workplace Benefits Association.”

In addition to Johnson, two other inductees were chosen to join the Workplace Benefits Hall of Fame this year, Allen Bress, President of Merchants Benefit Administration and Phil Brimer, Sales Director for focus3 BENEFITS, a benefits technology firm. The induction ceremony takes place at the annual Workplace Benefits Mania event on July 31 at the Aria Hotel in Las Vegas.
