CoreSource Hires Regional Sales Directors and Account Executive


LAKE FOREST, Ill. – CoreSource, one of the nation’s leading providers of benefit administration and health management services for self-funded employers, announced that it has strengthened its sales and client management functions in key offices around the country by hiring top talent from The Principal Financial Group. Principal announced in October 2010 that it is exiting the employee benefits administration market.

The new hires announced by Eckrich are:

Stephen Behan who is the new Regional Sales Director for the Western region. Behan has 30 years’ experience in employee benefits. Prior to joining CoreSource last month, Behan was Vice President of Sales – National Accounts, for the Principal Financial Group, responsible for sales in California, Arizona, Nevada and Utah. He worked for Principal as a Sales Director from 2004 to 2005, left to work for Fiserv, but later returned to Principal as Vice President in January 2008. Behan has also served in sales positions at Great-West Life and General American Life Insurance Company.

“We wanted to hire someone with a successful TPA background and established relationships,” said David Parrish, Regional President, Chicago and Western Region. “Steve meets that criteria and offers far more. His years of experience in selling TPA services in California positions him, and CoreSource, for success.”

Alan Wiederhold who is the new Regional Sales Director for the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Prior to joining CoreSource last month, Wiederhold was Vice President of National Account Sales for the Principal Financial Group in the Midwest, Northeast and mid-Atlantic regions. Previously, he served as a Marketing Director for a TPA based in Grand Rapids, Mich.

June Pelton-Holle who is a new Senior Account Executive. For nearly 30 years, Pelton-Holle worked in benefits administration for self-funded employers for the Principal Financial Group, managing clients with 300 lives to 7,000 lives.
