LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Voluntary benefits brokers can now easily access Trustmark Voluntary Benefit Solutions products and combine them with any core benefit through the Common Census enrollment platform.
“The use of the Common Census platform helps brokers boost sales and give higher, noticeable position to Trustmark products,” said Dan Johnson, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Trustmark Voluntary Benefit Solutions. “This platform provides a seamless link in messaging between the employer-paid benefits and Trustmark’s voluntary product offerings during the enrollment process.”
Common Census covers the following product offerings in all states, unless otherwise indicated:
- Trustmark Universal Life with Living Benefits
- Trustmark New York Universal Life
- Trustmark Cancer/Critical Illness combo
- Trustmark Accident
- Trustmark Individual Disability
“Our partnership has evolved from a straight link approach to truly integrating our products into the Common Census platform for better positioning and ease of use by the employees,” said Terry Zastrow, Vice President, Technology, Trustmark Voluntary Benefit Solutions. “It also now supports laptop, call center and self-service enrollment, and includes customized Trustmark product videos, making it a truly comprehensive enrollment solution.”
Trustmark Voluntary Benefit Solutions will cover the Common Census usage fee on behalf of brokers, equal to 2 percent of annual Trustmark premium submitted. After initial enrollment, the platform allows HR departments and employees to easily make changes and plan additions, in 16 languages, and view online benefits statements.
Trustmark has maintained a business relationship with Common Census for more than 10 years. In November 2010, Trustmark first used the Common Census platform to successfully transition enrollment of Trustmark’s New York Universal Life with Long-Term Care cases.
