Trustmark Companies Launches CareChampion 24/7 Advocacy Service

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Beginning May 1, small and large employers with a Trustmark medical plan will receive CareChampion 24/7. This innovative advocacy service provides a central resource that covered employees can rely on for answers to healthcare and benefits issues. CareChampion advisors are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to help navigate, educate, support and advise.

Covered employees can call a dedicated toll-free number to talk to a CareChampion advisor anytime. Advisors can help members navigate the healthcare system, better understand and use their benefits and identify cost-savings opportunities. Members can also seek the guidance of a registered nurse for acute or chronic health issues, receive clarification and coaching before and after doctor visits or hospital stays and more.

And, unlike other programs which assist employees, CareChampion is proactive. Advisors don’t wait for members to call them. Once CareChampion becomes part of an employer group benefits package, each employee is contacted with a “welcome call,” educating members on the service and inviting members to call at any time.
