WHEELING, Ill. – The URAC Accreditation Committee granted Health Contact Partners, Inc. full accreditation in its category of Health Call Center, Version 4.1.
Health Contact Partners is required to meet or exceed all performance and quality standards established by URAC, a leader in healthcare accreditation, in order to renew both its Core and Health Call Center accreditations with the organization. Health Contact Partners was first accredited by URAC in 2007.
"Earning accreditation is an ongoing process," said Sue Brown, RN, Vice President of Clinical Operations. "We use URAC’s benchmarks to continually review, improve and approve our policies, procedures and marketing practices," she said.
A URAC board of peers provides health organizations with a framework of best practices and standards to uphold. A memo addressed to Health Contact Partners from a URAC spokesperson stated, "Your organization is commended for its commitment to promoting quality health services."
According to Health Contact Partners, accreditation by URAC is an integral part of its business strategy. "At Health Contact Partners, we are always looking for ways to rise above and beyond the standards by offering value-adds for our clients," said Brown.
For example, URAC routinely requires Health Contact Partners to initiate two quality improvement projects. "In addition to those projects, we implemented a third, taking a proactive approach to education and guidance for members who have chronic conditions, such as diabetes," she said.
