Trustmark Is the First Carrier to Offer Job Loss Protection

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Trustmark Voluntary Benefit Solutions, a leading provider of payroll-deducted voluntary benefits, announces Job Loss Protection, an innovative solution designed to promote financial peace of mind. Trustmark is the first insurance carrier to offer Job Loss Protection with its plans.

In today’s economy, many people worry about losing their jobs. With Trustmark Job Loss Protection, the decision to purchase a Trustmark insurance policy is easier. If policyholders with Job Loss Protection as part of their policy lose their jobs within the first six months of coverage, they can return their policy for a full refund.

Job Loss Protection may be included when a company adds Trustmark worksite products to its benefits package. These products include Trustmark worksite Universal Life, Critical Illness, Disability and Accident insurance.

“While we face a challenging economic road ahead, Job Loss Protection enables people to purchase the insurance they need today without having to worry if they will have a job tomorrow,” said Dan Johnson, Vice President of Sales. “Unlike similar consumer protection programs, Trustmark Job Loss Protection has no waiting period and is offered at no additional cost to employers or their employees.”

“Employers worry about encouraging employees to spend money, even for necessary insurance coverage,” said Janet Buzil, Second Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. “We want to help our policyholders protect their families, and in today’s economy that means providing them with an additional safety net.”
